George Wieser | It seems that George couldn’t wait to begin a career as a professional photographer. After studying photography at Hunter College with Roy DeCarava for two years, followed by one more year of study at NYU, George left his academic life behind to join the exciting world of professional photography. George spent the next five years assisting an assortment of photographers, leading him to become a still life studio manager.
His involvement in the film world began as a location scout and shortly thereafter he found himself producing music videos. After about five years in the music video industry he decided that it was time to move on, and he began a successful period as a commercial line producer.
Throughout his time as a producer he continued to shoot stills for a number of publishing companies and has in fact published over 20 books on food and travel. Some of his more notable titles are "The New York Bartender’s Guide" (a best seller) and "Culinaria USA", which features regional specialties from all over the U.S.; from the organic mid-western farmer to Alice Waters at Chez Pannise.
